The Final Countdown! Wow! I can’t believe how fast this year is “springing” by us! Choir has three weeks left (including this one!) Our final community performance is next Wednesday for Singfest. We will also sing our songs at the next assembly (date TBA). Important Dates: Tues. April 2 – primary rehearsal @ 12:25-1:10 Thurs. April 4 – intermediate rehearsal @ 12:25-1:10 Tues. April 9 – FINAL REHEARSAL (both choirs bring lunch) @ 12:10-1:10 Wed. April 10 – primary adjudication @ 10:30-11:15 – music room – intermediate adjudication @ 11:15-12:00 – music room – Singfest @ Vanier Hall! Arrive & warm up @ 6:00; show @ 7:00-8:00 Tues. April 16 – primary pizza party! Parent volunteers welcome! Thurs. April 18 – intermediate pizza party! Parent volunteers welcome! Arrive at: 6:00pm (distribute polos, warm up, settle in, bathrooms!) Show time: 7:00-8:00pm Dress: black pants and black shoes (or dark / solid colours); polo will be provided Cost: donation at the door (for audience members / parents; volunteers are free!) Songs: Primary – “The Little Birch Tree” & “If You Should Meet a Crocodile” Songs: Intermediate – “In the Arms of an Oak” & “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” Mass Piece: “Heart of Beautiful BC” Check out the choir pages for the practice tracks. Music should be memorized by now. Parent Volunteers needed for Singfest evening from 6:00-8:00.
To perform at this event, I will need 5 parent volunteers to help supervise and manage student behaviour, hand out polos, ensure polos are checked in after the show, and help with other small details. Without volunteers, we will not be able to perform. Thank you so much for being such a fantastic community for our musical kiddos to flourish in!
