Unsure what to do with your kiddos over the Spring Break? Well, here are a few things that might inspire some music in your lives!
1. Make Up Silly Songs Know any nursery rhymes? Change the words to some simple songs you know, write them down, and find some random things to use as percussion instruments to make it a real band sound! 2. Listen to CBC Music Always a good idea to support local music! 3. Practice recorder ...even if the parents aren't super in to it, they'll admire the perseverance. Maybe buy them some earplugs for their birthdays? Mother / Father's Day? Or just because! 4. Check out local events Go to https://tourismpg.com/events/ to see what's up throughout the two weeks. 5. Play another instrument If you have a ukulele, the adults might prefer that to recorder! 6. See a movie Can you count how many different pieces of music are in the movie you watch? How many have words? How many are instrumental? How does the music make the movie better or worse? 7. Play online games! http://www.primarygames.com/arcade/music/upbeat/ 8. Download an app! I like piano tiles... it's tough though. 9. Guitar Hero? Ever tried it? It's so tough, even for a guitar play such as myself! 10. Relax with some music of your choice Just hang out, put your favourite playlist on shuffle and let the music take you! Enjoy the break! See you in April! Yours musically, Miss Morris
